When a friend called me and asked me to design a new art for her products, she suggested, "What do you think about tech addiction?" I replied: "Very challenging and interesting. What do you want me to do?" To which she replied: “I wanted a job with a touch on the idea of how people live today in relation to technology, the care that must be taken with mental health and the countless commitments, the daily stress”.
Afterwards, we talked a few times and I started to study and work on it. I could see that the topic of concern is very real, but I wanted to approach it in a way that would also bring a certain humor and, at the same time, an alert focused on prevention - (the creation process is not always easy for us, depending on the theme).
So a design was born that led me to some scary research and statistics, where I found out that the current problem with technology is the... negative influence and addiction. Our business is to work with what happens on a daily basis, and if we somehow manage to positively influence and alert, it will be a good thing. The final idea speaks precisely of taking into account this point of dependence on the internet.
Finally, this topic impacted me so much that I also made an art for my own store.
It is known that in every way it affects our personal and professional lives. It's up to each of us to check if we're exceeding the use and get help if necessary. I tried to create a t-shirt that spoke just about that, "In Treatment for Cell Phone Addiction - Please Don't Call Me" is a succinct warning, but in a light and subtle way. It reminds us what are the negative occurrences that the uncontrolled use of technology can cause.
